When I began to tell people what I was intending to do, a common reply was "You must be daft! What makes you want to do that?". Well the truth is I've always wanted to do it, but being a keen walker since I was a child I wanted to walk it, but seeing as that would require about 6 weeks away from work, it just was'nt praticle, So that will have to wait until I retire by which time I'll probably be to knackered to do it. Another dream dashed or so it seemed, until about 2 years ago when my wife reintroduced me to cycling. After a few initial tentative wobbley rides I quickly fell in love with being on my bike again and one night after a few beers, when all my daft ideas are usually formulated I decided, hey lets have a go at cycling  John o groats (top to bottom, downhill was my thinking) to Lands end, how hard can it be? That four pack of fosters has cost me alot of pain and a small fortune ever since.
