Travelling day started bright and early at 5 am. The team which consists of 2 pedlers, me and my betterhalf Julie, and our support crew which is my stepson Carl and his partner Amy to whom I am very grateful for taking on this vital task. The weather today has been bright, warm and sunny all day and the 400 mile journey passed by without any real problems, we arrived at the SYHA in Inverness at 5 pm and found it to be basic but comfortable. There was a group of about 20 cyclists who had just completed day 1 of their ride and told us they had completed 120 miles of their trip, which means another 5 am start tomorrow to get to John O'Groats early for the first 80 or so mile trip.
